Started and finished in 6 hours so excuse rushed-ness in the line work. This is a draft concept (I guess you could say) for a character that may or may not be used in a children's book that an acquaintance of mine is starting.  I used the sketch for a "tradigital" class so I could make it purty.

This was a satirical piece mocking people who keep the most strange and dangerous pets. On the left is the blue-ringed octopus that has enough poison to kill a human being but the girl on right being too eager to be different and too attracted to the octopus' uniqueness that logic left the building and now she's left to wonder "Is this love?"
